Botox/Dysport

As we age over time, our skin naturally thins out and loses volume as collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid gradually diminish.  This normal aging process leads to wrinkling, a prominent feature of aging. Injections of a medication known as neuromodulators in to the muscles that create the wrinkles can assist in decreasing the formation of wrinkles and reverse the signs of aging. This will provide softening of fine lines and wrinkles.

At Youtopia Medical Spa our Wrinkle injections & Botox/Dysport treatments are designed to give you a natural, revitalized and more youthful appearance without compromising your ability to make facial expressions

  • What are dermal Fillers?
Dermal filler is compromised of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a naturally occurring substance found within our body that contributes to volume and hydration. Fillers temporarily augment facial contours by filing any volume deficits while correcting and smoothing any deep wrinkles for a natural - looking result.
  • Preparing for Fillers
You don’t need to do much to prepare for dermal fillers, but you may wish to consider doing the following to reduce bruising and swelling. Avoid medications such as Aspirin, Motrin and Ibuprofen which can be blood-thinning. Avoid topical products such as retinol or anti-ageing creams. Avoid irritating procedures such as waxing or hair removal in the area Avoid alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours before treatment. Avoid Botox and dermal fillers if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Procedure and Down Time
Once you have completed a consultation with our medical practitioner, the treatment area is prepped and injected with either a fine needle or a cannula, dependent on safety, preference, and location of treatment. The procedure takes up to an hour. You might have mild discomfort, bruising and swelling for up to a week. After the swelling goes down, you might need a touch-up injection for best results.
  • Post Care Instructions
It is normal to be somewhat red, tender, and swollen for about 2 to 4 days after filler injection, and bruising is always possible. Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications (like Celebrex) for 24 hours to minimize bruising. No alcohol for 24 hours. No upside-down activities (like yoga) or vigorous exercise for 24 hours. No dental procedures, including routine cleanings, for two weeks after filler
  • Results
Results typically last between 6 months to 1 year, but this varies from person to person.

YOUtopia Medical Spa offers clients a luxurious experience when it comes to dermal fillers.  Our aesthetic nurse practitioner has been specially trained to provide outstanding cosmetic results with the utmost safety and comfort.

Most modern dermal fillers are made with Hyaluronic Acid (HA), something that occurs naturally in your skin. As we age, our natural HA production decreases. This results in a loss of volume and elasticity in the skin. The visible outcome is an increase in wrinkles and folds.

Dermal fillers can help to plump up the skin, offering a non-surgical solution for loss of volume, sagging and deepening folds. They can also be used to contour cheekbones, add structure and definition to the chin and/or jawline to tighten, lift and balance the lower face.

Hyaluronic acid also attracts water, which replenishes moisture in your skin.

The effects of ageing are often best treated with a combination of fillers and Botox.

At Youtopia Medical Spa the goal is to give you the youthful, even appearance you desire. That means identifying and balancing the right treatment options to deliver the most effective outcome possible.
